How to Explain Humans to a Dead Artwork
Three dots are all it takes to see a face, two crossed sticks to see a body. The scarecrow is the landscape reformulated into a human being. Clothes, dry grass and a wooden cross become a living figure in the corner of the eye. At a beach, the remains of a campfire are found; burnt branches, a forgotten plastic bag, some beer cans. The remains are all it takes to see human life. The scarecrow has no agenda, but lives through our consciousness. Our stories become the scarecrow’s reality.
